Veterinary Systemic Antibacterial
COMPOSITION
Each ml contains 300 mg of florfenicol.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Mbvflor Injectable Solution;
Cattle: It is used in the preventive and therapeutic treatment of respiratory system infections caused by florfenicol-susceptible strains of Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni.
The presence of the disease in the herd should be eensured before preventive treatment
Sheep:
It is used in respiratory system infections caused by Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Treatment: Cattle:
It is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
IM route: at dose of 20 mg / kg bodyweight (1 ml of the product/per 15 kg body weight) to be administered twice 48 hours apart (using a16 gauge needle).
SC route: at dose of 40 mg / kg bodyweight (2 ml of the product/15kg) to be administered once only (using a 16 gauge needle).
For prevention
SC route: at dose of 40 mg /kg bodyweight (2 ml of the product/per 15 kg body weight) to be administered once only (using a 16 gauge needle).
The dose volume given at any one injection site should not exceed 10 ml for both routes of administration (intramuscular and subcutaneous). The injection should only be given in the neck Sheep:
IM route: at dose of 20 mg/kg bodyweight / day (1 ml of the product / per 15 kg body weight daily) to be administrated for 3 days. The volume administered per injection site should not exceed 4 ml. Pharmacokinetic studies have shown that at the recommended dose, the mean plasma concentration remains above MIC90 value (1 µg/mL) for up to 18 hours.
To ensure a correct dosage body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.
Swab septum before removing each dose. Use a dry sterile needle and syringe. Do not broach the stopper of the vial more than 25 times.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle should not be slaughtered during the treatment and for 30 days following the last drug application for intramuscular administration and for 44 days for subcutaneous administration. Sheep should not be slaughtered during the treatment and for 39 days following the last drug application. Do not use in sheep and cows (including the dry period) producing milk for human consumption.

Sold as 50 ml, 100 ml and 250 ml type II colorless glass vials sealed with red bromobutyl rubber stopper and transparent aluminum flip-off lid in cardboard boxes.
